This filly received a Silver Premium at her RPSI inspection at only 6 weeks of age!

The following is a quote from Joann:

Keyanna, 2008 filly by Prelude out of Keyflow, an RPSI approved TB mare, went to her first show last weekend, the Dakota HorseFest Dressage and Sport Horse show in Huron SD.  She was the reserve champion filly in the USDF Breeders Championship (USDFBC) Filly Qualifier class, and is qualified to return for the USDFBC West Central Series Finals in September.  She had a lovely score of 75.3%, and got good comments about her good manners, and well developed muscling for a yearling... We were most impressed with was her fabulous attitude!  She handled showing like she's been going for years, and was very easy to show! 

UPDATE: 

Keyanna qualified for the US Dressage Federation's Breeders Championships West Central Series Finals at a July show in Huron, SD.  The West Central Series Finals were held this past weekend, and Keyanna competed against fillies three & under - and finished third, at only 14 months old.  I should mention that at this point in her growth, she is about 1.5" high behind, quite usual for a yearling, but it makes it harder to compete against the older horses of course, who are often more even.

 
What impressed us the most is her disposition.  We were in an indoor, but there were sustained 35 to 40 mph winds during the competition, with the roof rumbling in the wind, rocks and debris going against the walls, and grown horses spooking.  My husband, an adult amateur handler, smiled when I commented that she seemed unconcerned, and said, 'oh, she flicked her ear - once!'  We appreciate this very much, as she is out of a rather hot mare. The attitude carries over to everything - I clip her loose in her stall!

"After a long wait (10 days late) and a ton of anxiety on my part, our new colt is finally here!!!! And he was definitely worth the wait!!! Early this morning our mare Sweetie delivered a GIANT Trakehner colt that we are fondly referring to as "Moose" (you'll understand when you see the pics).  Moose is the first foal by Trakehner stallion Prelude by Mozart since he was imported into the U.S. by Karen and Bob Stopek. Now I may have a little bias but... this colt is AWESOME. His legs are a mile long and his hocks are bigger than mama's. I have no idea how Sweetie delivered such a colossal colt but I'm sure it wasn't fun! Even my mild-mannered DVM,  who is usually a man of few words, commented repeatedly on what a nice big colt he is. This bay tobiano colt is out of our American Trakehner Approved Thoroughbred mare, Resail Sally (a.k.a. "Raven") whose pedigree traces back to Man O' War.  and by Sempatico, a rare homozygous pinto Warmblood stallion imported from Germany.  Unfortunately, Raven hurt her leg right before this colt was to be inspected by ISR/Oldenburg NA, so he will be inspected as a yearling in 2006.  He is also eligible for RPSI, IRC, Pinto, and AWS.  He is spectacularly marked, has correct conformation, 3 exceptional gaits, and a very people friendly dispositon. 

Sebastian passed away after being hit by lightning on July 7, 2006 along with his friend, Hope Rising.  We loved them both with all of our hearts and miss them terribly.
